What should I know about varicose veins?

Varicose Veins are generally easy to recognize. They typically have a bulging, ropey or knotty appearance, are often discolored, and tend to cause burning, throbbing, aching and twitching. Varicose veins are caused when the normal flow of blood from the limbs back to the heart is disrupted by faulty valves within the veins themselves, causing the blood to slow, pool or even reverse direction through the veins – a condition known venous reflux.

What should I know about Spider Veins?

Spider veins are not typically associated with physical discomfort and generally present themselves as a web of tiny red or blue veins near the surface of the skin. Spider veins will often present themselves on the arms, legs, head, neck, chest, hands or breasts (among other areas).
